Yes. Stripe handles every card payment for your plan. It processes payments for millions of businesses worldwide and is certified to the highest level of the card industry's security standard, so your card gets the same protection that many of the largest online stores rely on.
Your Card Never Touches Our Servers
The card field on the Settings > Billing page belongs to Stripe. What you type goes straight from your browser to Stripe, which stores the card and charges it for your plan. We only receive what you see on the Billing page: the card brand, the last four digits and the expiration date. We can't see or store your full card number or security code.
How Stripe Protects Your Card
- Certified security: Stripe is a PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most demanding level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and is audited every year.
- Encryption: card numbers are encrypted with AES-256, and every connection to Stripe uses HTTPS.
- Fraud checks: Stripe screens payments for fraud before they go through.
- Bank confirmation: if your bank asks you to confirm a card (for example, with a code sent to your phone), Stripe shows that step when you add the card.
